Help with the Valio iPhone app.
Email support@govalio.com. Write to us about anything — problems with the app, billing, general feedback, feature requests, or a privacy request. There is no account to create first.

- Email: support@govalio.com
- From inside the app: Settings → Feedback & Support → Send Feedback. The form attaches your app version and a few plain counts, never your jobs, rates, amounts, notes, or timesheets. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what it sends.

FAQ
What should I include when I report a problem?
- What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
- Your iPhone model and iOS version, and the Valio version from Settings.
- A screenshot, if there is anything on screen worth seeing. Blank out anything you would rather we did not read.
- Whether it happens every time or only sometimes.
I subscribed, but Valio is asking me to subscribe again
Tap Restore on the subscription screen. Valio has no accounts, so your subscription belongs to the Apple ID that bought it — check the iPhone is signed in to that Apple ID in the iOS Settings app, then restore. If it does not come back, email us with the App Store order ID from your receipt.
How do I cancel my subscription?
In the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Valio, then Cancel. Apple’s instructions walk through it. Deleting the app does not cancel it. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your subscription stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
How do I cancel the free trial without being charged?
Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, in the same place. Otherwise it converts automatically into a paid subscription. The trial is offered once across both plans. Full terms are under Subscriptions.
Can I get a refund?
Purchases go through the App Store, so refunds are Apple’s to give and we cannot issue one. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. This does not affect any statutory withdrawal or refund right you have where you live.
What happens to my data if my subscription ends?
Your records stay on your iPhone. You can still view and export them, and finish work already in progress, without an active subscription. Recording new work needs one.
Where are my records kept? Do I need an account?
There are no accounts and no cloud sync. Everything you enter lives on your iPhone, and we operate no server that receives it. That also means we cannot recover your records if you lose the device or delete the app, so keep a device backup and export timesheets you need to keep.
How do I get my hours out of Valio?
Export a timesheet from inside the app. The file is created on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet, so you choose where it goes. It never passes through us.
How do I delete my records?
Delete them inside the app — any job, shift, timesheet, expense, or note can be removed individually, and deleting a job takes its shifts with it. To remove everything at once, delete Valio from your iPhone, which removes its database from the device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription, and it does not reach the records described in the Privacy Policy.
If I delete the app, is my data deleted?
Yes. Everything Valio holds on your iPhone goes with it — the database of jobs, shifts, timesheets, expenses, tips, notes, and tags, your export identity, your settings and reminder choices, and any timesheet file the app had generated but you had not yet sent. None of it is recoverable afterwards, by you or by us, so export anything you need to keep first.
Four things are outside the app and are not affected:
- A timesheet you already exported and saved or sent somewhere else.
- A copy inside an iCloud or computer backup, which is Apple’s to manage or yours.
- The anonymous identifier in the iOS Keychain, which survives deletion — that is what lets a reinstall recognise your subscription.
- Records already held by our service providers, described in the Privacy Policy.
Does deleting the app cancel my subscription?
No, and it does not forfeit it either. A subscription is a purchase held by Apple against the Apple ID that bought it, so reinstalling Valio restores your access. To actually stop the subscription you have to cancel it in your App Store account settings.
How do I request deletion of the data your providers hold?
Email support@govalio.com. Those records are keyed to an anonymous identifier rather than to your name, so include an App Store receipt or order ID if you have one. The Privacy Policy sets out what exists, how long it is kept, and your rights under the GDPR and the CCPA.
A total does not match what I expected
Valio calculates from the rates and rules you enter. Worth checking:
- Time rounding. Valio rounds your clock-in and clock-out separately, never the total, and keeps the exact times you recorded underneath.
- The date the pay terms took effect. Rates are kept with their history, so editing a rate today does not rewrite shifts recorded before it.
- Overtime is worked out per job. Hours are not combined across two jobs for a weekly threshold.
- The overtime week starts on Sunday for jobs paid monthly or twice monthly.
- Holidays are only the dates you marked. There is no built-in calendar of public holidays.
- Paid break allowance and premium rules apply once configured. Check them on the job.
A shift shows the wrong time
Each shift records the time zone it was recorded in, so a shift logged in another time zone displays against that zone rather than moving when you travel. Edit the shift if the recorded times themselves are wrong.
Is the tax figure accurate?
No. It applies the rate you entered and is an estimate. Valio is a record keeping tool and does not give legal, tax, payroll, or accounting advice — check any figure before you rely on it, send it to someone, or use it in a dispute.
